Brew It Right
Excellent coffee begins with water that is cool, fresh and clear.
Always use high quality coffee that has been recently roasted.
Grind coffee before brewing, making sure the grind corresponds to the method of brewing.
Bring water just to boil.....195 - 205 degrees.
Make sure your brewing equipment is clean.
Measure coffee and water accurately. The Specialty Coffee Association recommends 2 tablespoons (1/3 ounce) coffee per 6 ounces of water or, 3.75 ounces of coffee per half gallon of water.
For those who find that the two tablespoons/6ounce ratio produced too strong a cup, simply reduce the quantity of coffee used until the desired strength is reached.
Serve immediately....good coffee is unbeatable and meant to be savored.
